Tennis Masters Series Indian Wells     For the fourth consecutive year, Choate Tennis took a trip to southern California in March of 2001. In the early part of the week, the Choate players again were the guests of Charles Pasarell '99 and his family at the Tennis Masters Series Indian Wells. The tournament featured all of the top men and women players in the world competing at the spectacular Indian Wells Tennis Garden. (The 2001 singles titles were won by Serena Williams and Andre Agassi.) While in the desert, the Wild Boars enjoyed plenty of time on court, scraping off the rust that had accumulated during the New England winter, as well as the opportunity to watch world-class players in action. We also spent time visiting with Charles and his 1999 co-captain Justin Karush.

The squad spent the second half of the week based in Pacific Palisades, enjoying the tremendous hospitality of Andrew Jacobi '01 and family and soaking up the fun and the sun in the Los Angeles area. The Choate boys had a very successful outing in a scrimmage against Brentwood School in Bel Air.

Coach Gallagher and the team are extraordinarily grateful to the Pasarell and the Jacobi families once again for their generosity and wonderful hospitality in California.

Julian Baccash '02, Jeremy Zuidema '02, Stefan Patrikis '02, and John Oster '03 flex their puny muscles.
Out of place? The team's underclassmen at Muscle Beach, Venice.
